The Colorado Rockies came calling to me in 1972 and by 1973 I moved to Glenwood Springs, Colorado from Clawson, Michigan. I fell in love with the Hot Springs Pool, my first experience with the pool, back in 72, was in the middle of a snow storm...soaking outside in the hot springs as the snowflakes fell, with the moon peaking between the clouds. It was pure bliss. I knew this is where I wanted to live my life. It was by far the best decision of my life. I'm in awe of the beauty that surrounds me, it never fades.
Living in a college town was important to me, so was Colorado Mountain College. I spent the next 30 years or so being involved with CMC, as a student, staff and the majority of the time teaching Graphic Design and Art classes. Working at CMC was an exciting and fulfilling career. I never stopped learning all those years with all the opportunities CMC offered or sent my way. I'm grateful for the experience.
Along with teaching I also had my own little graphic design business, which I still run on a limited basis. I have expanded my personal art practices now that I have more time to focus on what inspires me. My gift in life is my creativity, it seeps into almost everything I do.
I'm a mixed medium artist, inspired by nature, the environment and positive energy. My art can go from a design I create in Adobe Illustrator to incorporating an old throw-a-way that I repurpose into an art piece. I'm drawn to basic shapes and will see a lot of them in my designs.
